Media

A little bit about me and the KIRBC from more reputable media outlets:

  • CBC Radio 1′s Fresh Air had me on to talk about Canada Reads (Listen here)
  • I did some video pitches for the CBC Book Club! You can watch them here:  #1, #2, #3, #4, #5.
  • The KIRBC has its 15-minutes in the Torontoist LitBlog spotlight. (Slightly biased) Interviewer Erin Balser notes, “The Keepin’ Real Book Club is smart, thoughtful and refreshing, just like the blogger herself.”
  • Open Book Toronto recommends the KIRBC, calling it “a great place to read a lot of smart book reviews.”
  • I was the featured blogger at House of Anansi.
  • I’m quoted in an awesome article, “What We Talk About When We Talk About Books,” by the very wise, and very real, Erin Balser, for Open Book Magazine.
  • I talked about Canada Reads on the CBC’s Monthly Book Report podcast.

Sometimes our KIRBC super schemes also capture some attention. Read more:

  • Quill & Quire and the National Post (The Afterword) cover Civilians Read 2010.
  • I did an interview about Civilians Read for the CBC Book Club.
  • BlogTO gives our Keep Toronto Reading campaign some love.
  • Kerry Clare at Canadian Bookshelf interviewed me about Keep Toronto Reading.
  • CTV used a clip from Books in 140 Seconds in their “One Country, 5 Books” feature on Sarah Selecky for the 2010 Giller Prize. Watch it here.
  • The Globe and Mail included Reading Roulette in an article about Reading Challenges.
