This book totally surprised me! I really enjoyed it, even with the blood dripping on the carpet and some quite disturbing occurrences. I'm not a horror fan, either, but this transcended the kind of horror that makes one feel rather...grimy. This horror had heart.

I thought OBTAA tender and real and poignant and gripping and atmospheric and clever and also very amazing since it managed to be all of these things in such a short period of time. It's a fantastic (twisted) variation on a theme (or rather several themes), an interesting way to creatively explore what so many others do in less interesting ways.

Oooh, looking forward to your Quarter-Life Crisis discussion/review. I read it last week, and am now in the midst of a big angst over whether I should review it. I'll wait and see what you lot think. ;)
