Welcome back to another installment of Books in 140 Seconds, the roller coaster of book clubs — it’s fast, thrilling and not recommended for people with heart trouble. After the last fortnight’s discussion of Y: The Last Man, Today Erin Balser and I continue with the KIRBC lovefest for Fear of Fighting (already evident in my review and Sarah’s KIRBC reco). But actually what got me reading FoF was Erin’s suggestion we talk about it here. So fasten your lap bar, hang on to your loose objects, and watch us talk about Fear of Fighting by Stacey May Fowles, illustrated by Marlena Zuber:
The next installment of Books in 140 Seconds runs Thursday, May 20th at 1:40 p.m. Things might get a little bloody as Erin and I talk about Joey Comeau’s pseudo-horror novel One Bloody Thing After Another. It’s a short one, so grab the book, and then weigh in with your two cents!

BARGE!
Oh my god, you guys, this was a particularly CUTE video. You both are adorable and I don’t mean that in a condescending way. Also, the book sounds intriguing, of course. I love your enthusiasm for it, and how you love the characters. I love that we can really like fictional characters. (hmm, as you said, lots of love!) Literature rocks!
Cannot wait till you do Comeau!!
